乾電池の模様が入った電源ブロックです．電源とは，電圧を作り出すものです．ここでは，低いところから高いところへと電気を持ち上げるコンベアのような台形の形状をしています．
直列接続をすることができ，そのときは積み木のように高さを増やす方向につなげることができます．そのときでも，電圧の高さがものの高さと一致します．
A power supply block carrying the pattern of a dry cell. A power supply is what produces a voltage. Here it takes a trapezoidal shape, like a conveyor lifting electricity from a low place to a high one.
Blocks can be connected in series, and are then stacked like building blocks in the direction that adds height. Even so, the level of the voltage still matches the height of the object.
電気には流れる向きがあります．このブロックは，矢印の向きに電気が流れているときに赤く光ります．
モーターは，電気が流れる方向に応じて回転方向が変わります．また，一度回転を始めたモーターは外部から止めない限りは回り続けようとし，その力で発電することもできます．
Electricity has a direction of flow. This block glows red while electricity is flowing in the direction of the arrow.
A motor changes its direction of rotation according to the direction in which electricity flows. A motor that has once started turning also keeps turning unless it is stopped from outside, and it can generate electricity with that motion.
